Busy weekend

WOW I just can't seem to get a little time to relax!!!  Again last week was crazy busy and I will start this week being just as busy!!!  Monday I have to go to the hospital and have an ultrasound done of my left ovary.  When I had my PET scan done it had a little resolution in it so my dr thinks its best if I have it looked at.  Had genetic counseling done on Friday and shew all the info was soooo far over my head!!! I only have 2 people in my family that has had cancer that we know of.  My grandmom on my dad's side and my uncle on my mom's side.  My grandmom had soft tissue carcinoma with mets to lungs and my uncle had colon cancer with mets to liver.  The genetic counselor seems to think that my cancer is hereditary from my dad's side but she was very concerned about my uncle since he was 39 (maybe wrong about his age of diagnosis) when he was diagnosised and died at 40.  So they tok some blood from me and they will look for 2 genes BRCA 1 and BRCA 2.  This will tell the dr's how my DNA is writing.  Then there is another gene that they will look for if my DNA is rewriting itself a certain way and that is gene P53.  So do you see why I'm now confused?  Yeah ok we can be confused together!!!  She told me she would put all this info in writing and send me a letter. So when I get all the info I will put it on here and maybe you guys can explain in to me!!!  Then Saturday I got some cleaning done (not enough) and took some things to Goodwill.  Then went to my friends 50th birthday party in Rehoboth!!!  It was very very nice...I wasn't really feeling the best so I left around 8:30ish and came home and went right to bed!!!  Then today went to church, took a friend out to lunch, went grocery shopping, and then dinner and now home right where I wanna be!!!  So tomorrow is my ultrasound then on Tuesday I go see my oncologist and we will get chemo started!!  There's a couple of specific things I would like to ask for you to pray for.....sometimes chemo will give a metallic taste in the mouth so please pray that I will NOT get a metallic taste in my mouth....also with chemo I could possibly get horrible sores in my mouth so please pray that I will NOT get sores in my mouth...and then I just ask for NO anxiety.  I've been just a little nervous about getting this started but I know the Lord will see me through this time in my life so I just ask that you would pray for those specific things for me!!!  Thank you soooo much love you guys and I pray that each of you have a wonderful week!!!

Hey pretty lady. I want to encourage you, although you do so much to encourage ALL OF US who are walking this portion of your journey with you! Our small group has just concluded a study on Fear, based on Max Lucado's book, FEARLESS. (You are a living testimony to many of his points in the book, by the way, with how you have faced this challenge in your life.) He encourages readers to EXAMINE FEAR (identify what your fears are), EXPOSE FEAR (find scripture and ponder on what God has to say regarding that fear), and finally BATTLE FEAR (apply that scripture and God's promises to the fear). We all have things that make us fearful, or anxious, or full of worry. It's faith, not fear, that will carry us through the everyday battles we face. Your faith has truly been strengthened by the choice you have made to praise God in the middle of your storm! Keep on praising, girl! That is the best way to fight off anxious thoughts. I love that you ask for prayer ~ specifically. It is so much more effective if our prayers are specific. We will be praying, specifically, as you have asked. God loves you and has big plans for you. You make His heart glad, Shannon.
